Lillian Gish

Silent film star Lillian Gish was born in Springfield, Ohio and is best remembered for her long association with film director D. W. Griffith, starring in several of his silent epics including Birth of a Nation (1915), Intolerance (1916) and Broken Blossoms (1919).
